My edgy little begonia

As I sit and stare out the kitchen window in search of my favorite humming bird today…what do I see but my beautiful little begonia plant (Harmoney’s Royal Majesty) soaking up some sun. Hello there! (It says). This week’s photo challenge is Edge. The leaf you see here glows like this for a total of about 60 seconds a day. Lovely edges all around framing “Real deal” color.

Right behind the leaf (Outside the window) lies one of our hummingbird feeders. My camera on tripod and strobe on light stand both standing watch dutifully out there while I have retreated into the cool of the house. So far, so good. Remote is in hand, ready to fire! So watching for the hummers is a great pastime – especially rewarding when your favorite plant announces itself as it does here. Edgy. No color enhancement. No post processing. Not even any sharpening. Nada. Time to get back to the task at hand. Looking forward to seeing all the other “Edgy” photos this week. Follow the link above and post your own edginess!
